Questions
What is coaching?
Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, you do better.” That’s the essence of what you’ll achieve from a coaching relationship.
Coaching is a partnership between coach and client designed to help a client develop deeper awareness, boost their creative capacity, and reach their goals. Through powerful questioning, honest observations, and accountability to action your coaching sessions will help you achieve success - in whatever way is most meaningful to you.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Life is complicated. We all have “stuff.” Maybe you’re trying to achieve a specific career goal or move through a period of transition or just want to do something great in this world.
Coaching can help you with all of those things and more. Together we’ll focus on enhancing your quality of life by getting you into action and closer to the outcomes you desire.
Why should I work with you?
Clients choose to work with me because I’m credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Because the coaching profession is self-regulated, anyone can claim to be a coach without having pursued and completed a credentialed coaching education program. My certification and credential is demonstrative of my commitment to modern coaching philosophy and excellence.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is grounded in wellness and growth where sessions focus on the future rather than the past. As a coach, I believe that you are capable and in no way broken. Through our partnering, you will learn a new way of being that helps you process the best thing for you in the best way possible starting with your willingness to commit to and maintain results.
What makes EMPWRD different?
After years of loving the Harry Potter series - I promise this is going somewhere - I finally sorted myself into a Hogwarts house. This highly scientific method confirmed what I already knew about myself: that I value kindness and have high concern and consideration for others.
A wise teacher told me, “Everyone wants to change but nobody wants to be uncomfortable.” With great kindness (because being uncomfortable is, well, uncomfortable) I’ll focus our partnership on encouraging action that keeps you on your desired path and empowered to turn your learning into sustainable results and change.
